Terms of Service
The rules for using UNI, in plain language.
Using UNI
UNI is a free online card game. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
Your account
Keep your login details safe, and use one account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not impersonate someone else, and do not share an account to get around a ban.
Fair play
No cheating, no exploiting bugs, no automated play and no scraping. Do not harass other players or post abusive content in chat. I can moderate, mute or ban accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you write in chat, and you give me permission to store and show it so the game can work. Do not post anything illegal, or anything you do not have the right to share.
Keeping UNI running
UNI is a small project run by one person, and I care about it. I work to keep it online and in good shape, and I fix what breaks as quickly as I can.
I cannot promise perfect uptime, though. Expect downtime for maintenance, fixes and the occasional outage, and a match in progress can be lost when that happens.
Donations, when they come, go to server costs and development time. I take that support seriously, and I intend to keep the game available for as long as I can.
Intellectual property
UNI's name, art and code are mine, or released under CC0 as described on the about page. UNO is a registered trademark of its owner. UNI is an independent game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mattel or the UNO brand.
Liability
I am not liable for damages that come from using UNI. The service is provided without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change. When they do, the date on this page updates, and continued use means you accept the new version.
